Clearbit Reveal: successor in HubSpot and alternatives

Clearbit belongs to HubSpot. What became of Reveal, what Buyer Intent in HubSpot can do today, what it costs and which alternatives exist for HubSpot users.

Clearbit Reveal was for a long time an interface that supplied the company for an IP address. Many websites used it to assign visits to companies. Since HubSpot acquired Clearbit, the name Reveal hardly appears in the documentation any more. This article summarises what can be substantiated: what became of Reveal, what HubSpot customers use in its place today and which alternatives exist. Where the sources are silent or contradict each other, it says so.

What is substantiated

  • In February 2025, Clearbit announced in its release notes that the free tools (including the weekly visitor report) would end on 30 April 2025. As a replacement, HubSpot names Breeze Intelligence, which offers data enrichment, form shortening and Buyer Intent.
  • In the HubSpot documentation, visitor identification is now called Buyer Intent, with the „Visitors“ tab. The name Clearbit Reveal does not appear there (HubSpot knowledge base).
  • Whether the standalone Reveal interface has been switched off, and when, is not clear from the provider pages. Several comparison articles write that it is no longer available. These are third-party sources that cannot be verified.

What HubSpot offers today

According to HubSpot, Buyer Intent matches IP addresses with companies. The „Visitors“ tab lists visiting companies and can be filtered by period (up to 90 days), interest, source, country, pages viewed, segment and CRM status. From a company you jump to the details with the most important page views and contacts.

A HubSpot subscription is a prerequisite. Buyer Intent is available in the Marketing, Sales, Service, Data and Content hubs with Starter, Professional or Enterprise, and in Revenue Hub from Professional. In part you need seats or HubSpot credits.

Credits are incurred for certain actions. Adding an identified company to the CRM and following its signals use credits. Viewing the list costs nothing according to the page. Without credits and a suitable subscription you see up to 20 companies per view. The page names no prices and refers to HubSpot's product catalogue. Third-party sources give amounts that contradict each other. Therefore work with the quote, not with blog figures.

HubSpot does not state a hit rate. According to third-party sources, users report fewer visitors displayed than before with Clearbit. That is an indication, not a measured value. Why the figures vary so much is covered in Identification rate: why the figures vary so much.

Data protection. The HubSpot tracking code captures website activity, IP addresses and other online identifiers. HubSpot points out that, depending on the legal position, a cookie banner may be necessary. The help page names neither server location nor certificates and refers to the Trust Center.

Alternatives for HubSpot users

Anyone who does not want to stay in a higher HubSpot subscription or manage credits can outsource identification and send the companies to the CRM. The table shows how this works with providers with public prices.

ProviderHubSpot connectionFrom planEntry price (monthly)
SnitcherHubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and morein all plans$49 for up to 50 companies
Leadinfoautomatic sync with HubSpotScale€159 for up to 250 companies
AlbacrossHubSpot (two-way)Professional€213 for up to 250 companies
RB2BHubSpotProfrom $149, people USA only
Whovisitvia API, webhooks, Zapier, Make or n8n, direct connection plannedin all plansfrom €19 for 100 companies

As of 7 November 2026, prices net according to the provider's page. Providers change their prices, so check the current page before buying. For Snitcher and RB2B the currency appears only as a dollar sign. The prices apply with monthly payment. The providers count differently and are not comparable one to one.

Snitcher, Leadinfo and Albacross offer a direct connection, which Leadinfo and Albacross only unlock in the middle plan. Anyone who needs no direct connection sends companies by webhook and has them created in the CRM. How that works is described in Getting website visits into the CRM: 4 ways compared.

How to decide

  1. Do you need identification in the CRM or only as a hint? For a hint in Slack or email, a tool outside HubSpot is enough.
  2. What does Buyer Intent really cost for you? Have subscription and credits offered concretely.
  3. Test in parallel for two weeks. Run a second tool alongside HubSpot and compare the company lists. The procedure is in Visitor identification providers: Leadfeeder, SalesViewer and others.
  4. Check consent and contracts. A second script needs consent and a data processing agreement. This article is not legal advice.
